Our Portuguese Tarts are hand crafted from scratch. We make our own pastry from exceptional quality Australian wheat flour and premium butter – not from pre purchase sheets. Our pastry crafting techniques ensure a delicate feuilletée pastry that is a perfect companion to our secret egg flan Custard filling, which was adapted from an Artisanal Heritage Recipe. Our Portuguese Tarts share the scorched caramelisation common to the famous tarts of Lisbon that requires controlled, post 280 degree baking temperatures.
